2021 ARISE & Ski Applications

Circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic require ARISE & Ski to be canceled for the 2021 season. While this was a very difficult decision for Toggenburg Ski Center, we believe it is in the best interests of the health and well-being of participants, staff, and the community. We thank you for your understanding during this unprecedented time. We are confident that we will be able to offer ski next season, and we look forward to seeing everyone for ARISE & Ski 2022.

one of the longest running premier adaptive winter sports programs in the Central New York Region. We are dedicated to ensuring that anyone who wants to is able to participate in winter sports to their fullest potential.

Each year, ARISE & Ski gives lessons to individuals with various disabilities including: spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, all developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, Lowe syndrome, behavioral disorders, vision impairments, and many others.

The program has grown over the years thanks to the support of the Hickey Family (staff at Toggenburg); the staff at Toggenburg; donations from individual donors, corporations, and agencies; the incredible volunteers that work with us; and all the skiers at Toggenburg that share the mountain with us.

Our 77-acre grounds at ARISE at the Farm are open to the public when we are not offering programs and camp.

We hope you’ll enjoy our inclusive recreation center at other times on those days and on any other days.

Freedom Recreational Services

promotes an individual’s fullest level of participation in recreational and social activities through programs focused on the development of skills needed for community integration; empowers the siblings of individuals with disabilities to appreciate and cope with their unique circumstances.

Freedom Recreational Services is designed with each individual as our priority. Each participant will have the opportunity to meet new challenges and participate in activities that otherwise might not be available to them. The name Freedom Recreational Services was selected to reflect our belief that each individual should have the opportunity to grow and develop in a supported atmosphere of fun and freedom. The development of each participant’s’personal acceptance and self-concept is the basic key to our program’s success.
